Now for something teacher related.
I've been meaning to post about this for some time now but haven't had a moment to take pictures. Ladybug's post the other day
about the dry erase sheets made me get off my bottom and take those
pictures. (This room is not mine. It belongs to a fab new teacher in my
building.)
She uses those wonderful dry erase sheets too. What she did was attach them to her kidney table.
What
I love about it is that now each space is clearly defined for the
students and they will always have a dry erase board in front of them.
No longer will they spend hours, ok minutes, but it feels like forever
to me, locating dry erase boards and bringing them to their spots.
If I can ever get these sheets for an inexpensive price this is what I will be doing.
Do you use these in another way?

This is a great idea! I make my own dry erase sheets by laminating plain pieces of paper...so easy and CHEAP!
ReplyDeleteWally world has dry erase paper that comes in rolls like contact paper. It's a pretty inexpensive form that I'd recommend. I put a circle of it in the middle of my instruction table to use on a regular basis. Like it so far!

I put white pieces of paper inside a plastic paper sleeve to serve as dry erase boards at my small group table. Border with printed ducktape, they look cute!

Keep your dry erase boards and sheets clean with a soft cloth (microfiber cloths are great)- If they get stained or too dirty- add soap and water.Keep one micro cloth dry and one wet. If you would like a sample of our hand-held 2-sided dry erase paddle (with marker and eraser in the handle) let me know. Our markers are non-toxic/low-odor and the tips don't push in either. The felt erasers can also be rinsed too with just soap and water- then let dry. Permanent ink on dry erase? Just draw over ink with dry erase marker-let dry and then erase.
