Labels, tags, whatever you call them.

Do you remember my fab find from Target the other day?
Remember that I said they were part of a project I was making? Well, I just couldn't wait any longer. I just had to share.

A while ago I bought some digital scrapbooking paper from essentiallySCRAPN on Etsy. They were just $2.00, how could I resist?
If you haven't visited her site on Etsy, you should go take a peek after you read this post. She has some wonderful digital files at some great prices.

So yesterday, while reading Jodie's post about her freebie decluttering tags, which I love and plan on using for my decluttering project, I was inspired to make my tags for my paper sorters.
I finished updating my student files, (are you proud of me?) and set work on these.
I usually work through assignments with my students on the Doc Cam and always have tons of paper to recycle at the end of the day. I end up with stacks of paper cluttering my area, which I hate. I also have another pile of paper for my assessments, which are usually done one-ot-one. Now I will have a nice neat labeled place for each one. BTW, I went back to Target to get more of the paper sorters and they were all gone! I wish I had gotten more when I saw them.

I then made 2 sheets of 6 with different frames and I am sharing them with you. Here is what they look like.
I mixed up the frames just for the image. I stuck to the gray for myself because it will match with my paper sorter. Here are your freebies.
FYI, to add text with a font, open the document with "Preview". Then use you annotations tool bar to add a text box with the font of your choice in the area you want. Or you can always just write on them. I have not printed them yet, so I have no pictures, but I plan to laminate cut out and use a clothes pin, just like Jodie did, to attach it to my paper sorters.

Here was the "Question of the day."
Question of the Day: Do you have an item in your classroom that you anticipate will be challenging to purge, but yet you realize it's just taking up valuable space?
I have an area, that I anticipate, more like dread, and it is my reading center. Not that I have to purge, and it is not taking up space either. I have to Organize, with a capital O. I never take the time to properly label and organize it, and the kids don't have a proper pay of putting things back orderly. It's the one area I know will take me a long time and I am scared of it. Is anyone willing to do it for me?

Tomorrow I go back to school. I am a bit scared I wont wake up on time. I've been getting up at around 10:00 am every day. Yikes. I will have to set several alarms. I should be back with pictures of the areas I hope to work on for the Organizational Project then. I hope your week has gone well.I'm sad to see my vacation gone.

And I have been known to go to five different Targets if "my" Target is out of something in the dollar section. I'm crazy but it works!

  5. Those tags look very vivid and fun, especially for safari-lovers. Do you have labels with sailor or travel designs for little explorers like my friend's son? =)

    1. Hi Granville,

I could try, I just can't seem to find any time at the moment. I will make a note and see if I can create them sometime. If I do I will post them here.
