Kolton Ryba Surgery Fund

There are many things in life that we all take for granted, at least I know I do. Being able to hear is definitely one of them. Today I would like to step away from teaching a moment & tell you about a cause that is important to me.

Let me tell you a story about a colleague of mine who has a wonderful son named Kolton. Kolton is a 3rd grader who was born with a very rare syndrome, called Nager's.  There are only approximately 200 people in the world that have been diagnosed with Nager's. Kolton's syndrome has brought some difficulties to his life. However, through it all he has remained a positive & happy child.

Kolton is now facing a new hurdle he is in need of a BAHA, Bone Anchored Hearing Aid. This suregery cost a great deal of money but it has been brought down to $25,000.00. Can you believe it, that is half off! We have started to raise funds but it is just the tip of the iceberg.

A blog has been started for Kolton. It is called Kolton Ryba Surgery Fund. So far, this blog has information about what they are trying to accomplish.  It also has a donation link for those that would want to donate to the cause.  I am asking that you send it to all of your family and friends.  You can post the link on your facebook, blogs, etc.  Kolton will be checking the blog, as he helped create it and he enjoys hearing positive feedback.

Please visit the Kolton Ryba Surgery Fund!!!

I appreciate anything you do to promote this cause. Thank you for all your support!

  1. I wish I could do more than writing what I've felt at this point. I love children that's why every time I saw those kids in pain I can't help but shed in tears. I'll pray for Kolton and hopefully he'll have the surgery he needed. And get over with the pain soon. Perhaps the Plastic Surgeon Los Angeles can help his case.
